4 Ways to Use Canadian Bacon

October 14, 2024

Canadian bacon is lean, full of protein, and absolutely delicious! Sometimes we forget that Canadian bacon can be used at breakfast, lunch and dinner, so we came up with four different recipes for inspiration in incorporating this protein into your next meal. Niman Ranch Canadian Bacon is uncured, with no added nitrates or nitrites and made from humanely raised whole pork loin that is slowly smoked over real Applewood. A perfect nutritious addition to your next meal!

Hot Honey Hawaiian Pizza

Hot Honey Hawaiian Pizza

Hot honey is having a moment, and we are here for it! To take this hot honey Hawaiian pizza to the next level, we added our Canadian bacon for extra flavor and protein. Brown your Canadian bacon and pineapple, toast your desired pizza crust, add cheese and marinara, top with your Canadian bacon, pineapple, jalapenos (if using), garlic and more cheese, bake, drizzle with hot honey and enjoy! An appetizing meal with a little kick.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta

Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta

We added a twist to your typical chicken cordon bleu dish by turning it into a pasta and using Canadian bacon instead of ham. Cook your pasta al dente, toast your panko crumbs, cook your chicken, make your sauce, mix it all together and top with the panko crumbs and Canadian bacon. A great meal for the family, they’ll love this variation of the original dish!

Potato and Apple Hash with Canadian Bacon

This recipe is versatile, simple and absolutely delicious. Roast your potatoes, sauté your onion in a skillet, add your Canadian bacon, apples, thyme and cooked potatoes in the skillet, cook for an extra five minutes while stirring and you’re done. Options to add an egg on top for a hearty breakfast or use it as a side with your next dinner meal. Pro tip – Double the recipe to make it your meal prep for the week!

Southwestern Eggs Benedict

We gave your typical eggs benedict recipe a southwestern makeover in this recipe! Make your own cheddar corn biscuits or grab your favorite from your local grocery store, whip up the hollandaise with egg yolks, lime zest and juice, cayenne and butter, heat your Canadian bacon, toast the biscuits, and serve topped with Canadian bacon, avocado, a poached egg and the hollandaise sauce.
