Travel Logistics 

If you are flying, please arrive to the Des Moines International Airport (DSM) by 11:30 am Central Time on Friday, August 23 and depart anytime Sunday, August 25. A free Marriott shuttle is available for transportation to and from the airport.
 

After submitting your RSVP, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details to secure a room at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown at the discounted rate of $132+taxes per night.

Farm Tour

Please let Elle Gadient <elle.gadient@nimanranch.com> know if you will be out of the country between August 18-23, 2024. To prevent the spread of foreign animal diseases, those who have been traveling internationally within five days of the event will be asked not to attend the farm tour.

Attire

Thursday Welcome Dinner: business casual

Friday Farm Tour & Hog Roast: casual with closed toe, comfortable shoes with no heel.
We will be outside on a farm. Feel free to bring sunscreen, hats and watch the weather regarding the need for a raincoat. We will provide disposable biosecurity booties to cover your shoes for the duration of the farm tour.

Saturday Education Summit: business casual

Saturday Dinner: upscale business casual, no ties or jackets required

Alderland Farm

Paul and Andrea Brown have been farmers, in Iowa, with Niman Ranch since 2000, and today their children help run the farm as the family’s fourth generation of farmers. 

Boor Family Farm

Mikala and Eric Boor are young farmers in Iowa. They started with a plot of land with a few buildings and have created an efficient, sustainable farm

Humanely Raised Pork

Niman Ranch pork is raised using traditional and sustainable farming methods by small, family farms in the Midwest.
