New York Strip with Yakiniku Sauce

2-12oz Niman Ranch New York Strips sliced about 1/4” thick
1 cup soy sauce1 tablespoon grated ginger
5 garlic cloves grated
2 tablespoon toasted sesame
2 tablespoon minced green apple
2 tablespoon finely chopped green onion
2 tablespoon mirin
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Cooking Instructions
- Combine sauce ingredients and simmer on low for 5 minutes
- Strain and cool
- Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper
- Grill over charcoal or gas to medium rare or preference
- Slice rested meat across the grain and garnish with scallions and sesame seed
Dip in sauce/enjoy with sake and friends!
