Easy Oven Roasted Short Ribs with Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

For the short ribs 
4 pounds Niman Ranch boneless beef short ribs, cut into 3-inch long pieces 

2 teaspoons sea salt 

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 

2 tablespoons olive oil 

 

For the barbecue sauce 
2/3 cup light brown sugar 

1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika 

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 tablespoon white vinegar 

2 cups ketchup 

4 tablespoons yellow mustard 

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300º F. 
  2. Arrange the short ribs in a 13-by-9-inch baking dish, rub with olive oil until lightly coated, then season with salt and pepper. 
  3. In a medium bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients and stir to incorporate. Pour half the sauce over ribs and toss well, coating each rib with sauce. 
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and roast until cooked through and tender, about 3 hours. 
  5. Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to brown the top. 
  6. Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
